Our Board of Directors

The affairs of  Weathered and Redeemed Ministries is operated and managed by its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors controls and is responsible for the management of the affairs and property of this Ministry and Corporation.

Executive Director & Board Member

Pastor Justin Stevens has served in several pastoral capacities including Youth Pastor, Preaching/Teaching Pastor, and currently as a Counseling Pastor. Justin retired from the Montana Air National Guard after 17 years where he worked in aerospace propulsion and civil engineering. He also served as a police officer and SWAT breacher for 6 years. Justin has associate degrees in Aviation Maintenance, Mechanical Electrical Maintenance, and Welding and Fabrication. He recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Justin is currently attending Moody Bible Institute working on his master’s degree in Biblical Based Counseling Psychology. Upon completion of this program, Justin will by a fully licensed and practicing counselor in the state of South Dakota. He works with individuals, couples, families and large groups. Justin has developed and taught curriculum for group classes including parenting, marriage, anger, grief, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. Justin, along with his wife Kate, have a heart for ministry and believed they were called to serve in this capacity.  Justin is responsible for overall vision casting and leadership of Weathered and Redeemed Ministries and is responsible for developing the programs and teachings that will accomplish the mission of the organization. Justin aims to point people back to Jesus Christ and assist others in truly knowing God.


Discipleship Director

Kate Stevens grew up in an Air Force family and spent her childhood moving around the U.S. Her family was stationed in the Black Hills, and she attended the University of South Dakota to pursue her license in dental hygiene. As a college student, however, she caught a vision for helping people everywhere come to know and love Jesus. Kate felt God call her to invest full-time in college ministry. After graduating college, Kate became a licensed associate staff member with Cru (2012-2017) on campuses in eastern South Dakota and later with Campus Ventures (2017-2026) at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. Kate is passionate about all people knowing Jesus as “the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Justin and Kate both have a heart to work together in ministry towards this vision of helping others experience the freedom and healing of the Gospel in all areas of life.

Administrative  Advisor

Jaimee Kessner is an accounting professional with over 10 years of experience and a graduate of Montana State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Her background has given her a deep appreciation for thoughtful organization, consistency, and the behind-the-scenes work that helps organizations run smoothly.

She lives in Great Falls, Montana, with her husband and their young daughter. Jaimee is an avid reader and lifelong lover of books and enjoys spending her free time with family, learning, and staying connected to her community. She values lifelong learning, service, and contributing in meaningful ways.


Board President

Matt Fleming is devoted follower of Christ, a husband and father with a 16 year public safety career.


Over course of his career in Law Enforcement, he has served in numerous leadership assignments at the operational and administrative levels; such as patrol operations, patrol supervision, investigative supervision, a tactical team member, team leader and team commander. He is still currently serving his community in this manner and also provides end-user training on various visual augmentation systems for an industry leading manufacturer and vendor in that space.


In addition to his professional responsibilities, Matt has served in advisory and mentorship roles for non profit mental health organizations and service providers and as a member of several faith based ministry efforts with an emphasis on mentorship, discipleship and leadership development.


Board Vice President/Treasurer

Waylon Grout is devoted follower of Christ, a husband and father. He has been the Executive Administrative Director with multiple churches but has been with Grace Fellowship Church in Spearfish, South Dakota since 2009. Waylon is an accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in the fields of management and accounting. Waylon enhances the spiritual ministry of Grace Fellowship by ensuring the efficiency of the Church Staff. He has a gift for managing the business affairs of churches and nonprofits. He works closely with Elder Boards, community and staff to maintain efficient running of organizations. Waylon has the gift and vision to see and plan ahead, he is detail-orientated and anticipates the details for special events and circumstances. Waylon has a heart for the Lord and has touched the lives of many people over the course of his ministry. He loves living in the Black Hills and spends much of his free time with his family hiking, trail running, biking and exploring the wilderness.
